Collection: Cathal O'Briain

A collection of Original Watercolour Paintings by Dublin born artist Cathal O'Briain, a self-taught Watercolour artist and period piano restorer. In 1994, upon completing a portfolio preparation course at Dundrum Senior College, he studied Presentation Design at Dublin Institute of Technology, Mountjoy Square. Currently he is owner at O'Briain Pianos and Art Gallery in Lucan, Dublin, a piano restoration business specializing in rebuilding pianos to their Former Glory. The piano showroom in Lucan displays both restored pianos and original artworks and in the afternoon and evenings operates as a School of Music.

In the past he worked as a resident Irish ballad singer for O'Shea's Hotel, Talbot Street, The Green Lizard, Francis Street, The Plough, Abbey Street, The Widow Scallan's, Pearse Street, Cassidy's, Stillorgan, The Yaght, Skerries, The Warrenpoint Hotel, Newry, The Keg, Newbridge, The Magic Carpet, Cabinteely, O'Sullivan's Bar, Westmoreland Street, and the Exchequer Bar in Dublin city centre. Currently he records original ballads with Producer Peter Eades of Dublin Studio Hub.
