A fully restored and rebuilt Bechstein Model Grand Concert upright piano. Bechstein build the finest pianos in the world and every aspect of this instrument is like brand new having being through a rigorous and detailed restoration and rebuilding process.
A tall, imposing, decorative and rare model K that is simply the best looking example of a high quality Bechstein from this period. On the front panel is a hand sculpted relief of Mozart to remind you of the type of instrument you are playing, one that is hand crafted by the very best in the industry and fit for a composer of the highest calibre. The case is the tallest in height ever achieved in a piano, making way for extra long strings, huge soundboard, commanding presence and volume when required, and giving it a regal look that cannot go unnoticed as soon as you walk into the room. Every internal piece is like new, with quality German strings, replaced hammer heads, refinished soundboard, rebuilt action, gilded frame, rebuilt pedal section and hand French polished ebony case to keep its appearance in line with how it exactly looked in 1883. The keys are in perfect, white, smooth condition and have been put through a natural whitening process to remove any blemishes or slight yellowing. The legs are decorative and the feet are the biggest we have ever come across in any piano.
The piano plays like new and is restored to last for many more centuries. A true family heirloom to pass down from generation to generation and perhaps one of the finest looking and sounding upright Bechstein pianos we have ever had the privelige to tune and regulate.
Piano is currently in our suppliers workshop, but if you give us notice we can arrange a viewing in our Lucan showroom.
