Steinway & Sons Model S Baby Grand Piano , fully-reconditioned with original soundboard.
This Steinway Model S was manufactured in 1948 and has recently undergone a full restoration. At 5’1”, it is the smallest model in their range and is ideal for more compact spaces without compromising on quality of tone.
The piano retains its original soundboard and casework. It has been fully restrung and fitted with a new pin block. The action has been fully overhauled with Steinway patented parts. The keyboard has also been regulated and rebalanced for consistent touch across the compass.
The case has been refinished in a high-gloss black polyester, offering a modern, durable finish while preserving the instrument’s classic character.
The result is a responsive, well-balanced instrument with the signature clarity and tonal warmth expected from a post-war Steinway.
