The Yamaha B30 upright piano is the largest and most powerful model in the NEW B Series, designed for advanced players, teaching studios and larger spaces where greater projection and tonal depth are required. Built on Yamaha’s renowned acoustic piano craftsmanship, it delivers a rich, commanding sound while retaining the clarity and control the B Series is known for.

At 121cm tall, this full-size Yamaha upright piano offers the most expansive tone in the range, with increased resonance, stronger bass response and a wider dynamic range. It is ideal for more demanding repertoire and for players who want a more concert-like upright piano experience in a home or studio setting.

The NEW B Series has been refined with input from pianists, teachers, technicians and dealers, ensuring each model is designed around real musical use. In the B30, this results in maximum tonal depth, greater projection and a more powerful overall sound character.

The tone is broad, rich and expressive, with a strong low end and clear, singing treble. This makes the B30 particularly well suited to advanced students, professional use in teaching environments, or confident home players looking for a premium Yamaha acoustic upright piano.

A highly responsive Yamaha action provides precise control and nuanced expression, supporting advanced technique and dynamic performance. Every key is engineered for consistency and reliability, allowing for confident, expressive playing across all styles.

Yamaha’s refined hammer design, inspired by their concert grand pianos, ensures clarity and sustain across the full keyboard, helping maintain tonal balance even at higher dynamic levels.

The solid spruce soundboard and reinforced internal structure provide excellent resonance and long-term stability. The larger cabinet size allows for longer bass strings, resulting in deeper, more powerful low frequencies and an overall richer sound.

Practical features include a wide music rest for large scores and a soft-close fallboard for safe, everyday use.

The Yamaha B30 is also available with Silent Piano systems and TransAcoustic options where applicable, allowing for silent practice or enhanced tonal control.
