Yamaha B20 SC3 Silent Piano – Premium Upright with Advanced Silent Practice & Smart Features

The Yamaha B20 SC3 Silent Piano brings together the depth and presence of a larger acoustic upright with Yamaha’s latest silent technology - ideal for players who want enhanced tone alongside complete flexibility for quiet practice.

Equipped with the advanced SC3 Silent system, the B20 allows you to switch effortlessly between full acoustic performance and private headphone use. In silent mode, the hammers are stopped from striking the strings while highly responsive sensors capture every nuance of your playing, delivering a detailed and expressive sound through headphones.

The SC3 system features Yamaha’s binaural sampling of the flagship CFX concert grand, creating a rich, immersive sound that feels natural when played through headphones. Combined with key-off samples and smooth tonal transitions, the result is a highly realistic playing experience that supports expressive control at every level.

With built-in Bluetooth audio and MIDI connectivity, the B20 SC3 integrates easily with modern devices. You can stream music directly through the piano or connect wirelessly to Yamaha’s Smart Pianist app, giving you intuitive control over voices, settings, and functions. The app also offers chord recognition, interactive sheet music features, and practice tools, making it a valuable addition for both learning and performance.

Further functionality includes a built-in metronome, onboard recording, and a selection of instrument voices, offering versatility beyond traditional piano playing. USB connectivity allows for straightforward integration with recording software and digital music setups.

As an acoustic upright, the Yamaha B20 benefits from a taller cabinet than the B10, providing a fuller tone, greater projection, and improved bass response - making it particularly well suited to more advanced players or those seeking a richer musical experience in the home.

The Yamaha B20 SC3 Silent Piano is an excellent choice for households, teaching environments, and serious learners who require the option to practise silently with headphones, without compromising on acoustic quality.
