Fully restored and rebuilt 7'8" Bechstein Model 3 Semi-Concert Grand piano with built-in Silent System, meaning you have the option of playing in silence with headsets on.
A rare and powerful instrument by the world renowned German maker. Along with Bluthner, Bosendorfer, and Steinway & Sons, Bechstein is frequently referred to as one of the "Big Four" piano manufacturers.
The stunning instrument resided in Fotheringhay, Petersborough, UK for three generations of player and was tuned all its life. The owner had it extensively restored and rebuilt in 2002. Due to home renovations for wheelchair accessibility they sadly had to part last year. On arrival at our workshop, due to sun fading, the outer case had turned a light colour. We have since restored the case to its original rich deep colour, French polishing by hand several times, following by antique waxing. Brasswork were refinished.
The piano was recently fitted with a new high end Ad-Silent System.

The system was professionally installed by Iain Bain, who works for Broughton Pianos, UK.
Notable Features: Decorative music stand with no parts missing. Large turned legs and refinished castor wheels. Rebuilt Pedal Lyre.
This is the kind of Bechstein you find in a Concert hall. The tone is superb, full bodied, pure sounding, rounded, with a strong Tenor, potent Bass, and responsive medium touch. For its great age it's as versatile and dynamic as a new piano, delivering power, volume, and presence. A true family heirloom, to be passed down from generation to generation. Ideal for the beginner, intermediate, or well seasoned professional player.
