1924 Bechstein Model 9
1924 Bechstein Model 9
Tone and Sound: The Model 9 is known for the classic Bechstein tonal character: a deep, resonant bass, a clear and singing middle register, and a treble that is bright yet never harsh. Pianos from the post-1920 era are especially noted for an even, rich, warm tone throughout.
This particular Model 9 Bechstein was built in 1924, so is from their Golden Age of piano making, where in this year the model has been perfected over 12 years of refinement. The Rosewood case was restored in the last few weeks and is like brand new, as are the brass works. It's hard to believe that the piano internally is 102 years old, as it looks fresh having been through a complete overhaul by O'Briain Pianos. We have serviced the action and voiced the hammers. The original ivory keys play perfectly, with excellent response.
Ideal for the beginner to advanced level player and comes with new adjustable matching stool, free ground floor delivery, and five year warranty.
