The Yamaha P116 upright piano is a compact yet powerful instrument, designed for pianists who value outstanding tonal quality and advanced technology. As part of Yamaha's intermediate range, it is ideal for learners and advancing players alike, featuring a forgiving keyboard with a dynamic action that expresses every nuance of the pianist's style. Its relatively compact size ensures it fits seamlessly into any home environment.

For those seeking quiet practice, the P116 is available with Yamaha's advanced SH3 Silent System, which lets you play any time without disturbing others. The SH3 system uses cutting-edge non-contact hammer sensors (2-point optical fibre detection) and key sensors for precise performance tracking. It also measures the movement of all three pedals, ensuring exceptional responsiveness during silent mode.

Silent Mode Features Include:

• Authentic Sound Sampling: Featuring CFX Grand and Bösendorfer Imperial piano samples alongside 25 additional voices, including E-pianos, strings, choirs, and more.
• Advanced Modelling: Binaural Sampling and Virtual Resonance Modelling create an immersive acoustic experience, while Grand Expression Modelling reproduces your touch with incredible fidelity through headphones.
• Connectivity Options: Easily connect to external speakers, devices via USB, or the Smart Pianist App through Bluetooth.

The SH3 Silent System is also available as an in-built option on other Yamaha pianos, including grand models in the CX and GC series and upright pianos in the P, U, YUS, SE, and SU7 series.
