The U3 is the popular piano in the world. The U3A model is Yamaha at their very best, 1983 being a great year for the Nippon Gakki team in Hamamatsu, Japan. The U3A is exceptional quality and professional grade. Built in Yamaha's Golden Age of manufacturing it is highly sought after for its reliability and distinct tonal improvements over previous generations. This particular U3A is like new inside and out. The internals have no wear whatsoever as they were overhauled by Yamaha in both Japan and Birmingham. We consider this our best Yamaha and is superior to a new U3 on account of its age and pristine condition.

Full restoration of the cabinet and brass-works. Multi-stage machine polishing using rotary buffers and compounding paste. Our goal is for the cabinet to look like new again.
Internal pressure-blasting and cleaning of individual original parts. Action re-alignment, adjustment, regulation, and voicing of the hammer-heads for a pure, even tone.
Key-tops cleaned, keys levelled and adjusted so the touch and responsiveness of the keys feels uniform.
Strings and soundboard cleaned. Back of piano cleaned and oiled.
Piano is tuned twice. We tune once again upon arrival at your home.
Brand name enhanced if made of brass and pianos fallboard felt replaced.
Pedals removed, cleaned, lubricated, and polished on a wheel.
Castor wheels oiled, repaired or replaced, for ease of movement.
